I’m a fledgling designer, pathological baker, often-delinquent bookclub member, semi-pro Googler, daydream believer, protege of Gladys Kravitz, magazine addict, nap artist, incurable online yarn shopper, Royal-watching lemon-drop lover and housework hater. I love knitting more than anything! Well, except for my family and my dog Lottie, of course. But you know what I mean!
Knitting is my therapy. I forget who said it, but my motto is “not a day without a stitch”. No matter what’s going on, I try to manage at least a row or two, or even just a single stitch, every single day. When I’m not knitting, I’m usually thinking about how I’d rather be knitting. Sometimes, if it’s late at night and I’m having trouble falling asleep, I’ll lie in bed and knit in my head. As Virginia Woolf once said, knitting is the saving of life. In fact, it has saved my life many times, but that’s another story!
